All the usual suspects...

...seem to be here!

Hi folks,

Not exactly local, but as a Jock exiled to Sarf Engerland I thought I'd sign-up as I recognise a few names on here from previous car club escapades.

Bought my Mk1 S-Spec around 6 months ago and drive it around 1500 miles/month. Previous owner was a mate of mine who found the Bilstein suspension too harsh, the big girl's blouse...

Looks like it also has a new-found role as a trackday car, after a waz round Abingdon last week: I usually use my Corrado for track entertainment, but fancied a change. The Corrado would utterly destroy my Eunos in a straight line, but round a circuit the Roadster was actually more fun and adjustable.

Have to issue my car with a passport and get it up over the border at some point.

Hi Chaps

Yes, I was keeping an eye on Mazda On Track developments. Have fun in the rain :)

Mark, glad you've finally got hold of the latest Steedymobile. I hope it lasts longer than most of the others. Remember, when the engine goes 'babababababababababababababa', that's the rev limiter and it means you have to change-up, not continue to power-oversteer until all of the red lights on the dash start to light up one by one.

The picture was indeed taken in front of slightly faster & more powerful work toys.

Hi Dave

What's your next project? MX5 with a hydrazine & hydrogen-peroxide rocket engine from a Messerschmitt 163 strapped to the boot?

Hmmmmm, do you think that would work? :?

Still got the supercharger and Turbo idea floating about in my head

Will start with a solid bottom end this time, and plenty of oil circulation ;)

Saw the link you posted of Ailsa's Eunos letting go on the drag strip. First time I'd seen footage of the car digesting its own innards...

Anyway, I thought you'd be joining those lunatics that put crated LS1s into MX5 engine bays
