We have a winner! Well done.

Australian Icon... alledgedly, lol. Used to race them round Bathurst against the old Holdens and Falcon GT's

A couple of hundred were brought over back in the early 70's to head-up the Chrysler range in the UK.

The only thing it shares with the Dodge Charger is the engine (318 V8, or 5.2 if you prefer) oh, and the terrible build quality ;-)

But it sounds great, and maybe one day it will look great too.

Ronnie's old enough to remember the early 70s.

I still reckon it's a Capri that you've used a whole crate of body filler on and a couple of badges off e-bay.

Si - you selling your car? D'ya reckon it would go round Kames in under 100 secs?

Cheers Kev......actually the 70's were my time....when I discovered Smirnoff and women....not always in that order

Remember the advert on TV for the Peugeot 207 where the Indian guy basically knocks the sh*t out of an old Morris Oxford and turns it into a battered 207 so he can pose about......do you reckon that this is a Capri that has had the same treatment?

I had a wee shot in a friend's 5 the other day and it all came back to me.

It was a bog standard MK1 1.6, and I remembered all the fun we used to have in ours, round Knockhill and Kames, and that was before the supercharger.....and nos

I still have the nos kit

I plan to go turbo this time, and a hard as nails engine, and really see what we can get out of these wee beasties.

Last engine expired at about 280bhp, but it was quite a tired block. Would like to get over the 300, and 1/4 mile time in the 11's :D

Just in case anyone missed the last days of my 5 ownership, here you go:
