Hello Everyone
The name’s Dave and I live just outside Dunfermline. After a serious motorcycle accident last year I decided a sports car may be my route to a safer adrenalin rush. After making up my mind that the MX5 was the one to go for, I spent another six months looking for the right car. I finally bought myself a mark two, 02 plate 1.8 Pheonix with a hard top and only 4300 miles on the clock. No, I could not believe it either, but the mileage is genuine and it’s got the full Mazda service history and MOT’s to prove it. I have only had the car for a week and I have already covered 500 miles, and I love it! All I need now is sunshine so that I can get that hood down. Well that’s my intro for now but I’m looking forward to meeting up with you all in person soon.
Cheers, Dave.

Hi Dave

welcome to the forum, you will notice that it is a "little" bit mad, but that adds to all the fun!!

Glad to see that you sound hooked already, and by the way, you don't need sunshine to get the hood down, you just need it not to be raining! :D :D :D

One good turn gets most of the blankets.

If you get wet with the roof down, you're just not going fast enough :D

Welcome to the forum Davy, you're ideally placed for the next Knockhill day...

very true - Guy and I drove through the most fantastic sudden thunderstorm the other day, torrential rain, didn't get wet until the junctions :D :D :D

Did get some very strange looks from other drivers - and big smiles and thumbs up from other 5 drivers!  it was brilliant fun though and makes you realise why you have an MX5 in the first place

Good buy that Dave, sold our first 5 to my Dad who was bike daft, he says it's the closest you can get to the fun of a bike on the road :D

We're down in Inverkeithing, don't worry if someone in a silver MK2 doesn't wave back, it'll be the wife and she thinks we're all barking mad waving to one another
