Long time mx5 owner, first time forum user

Postby mcgowana » Sun Jul 10, 2016 9:42 pm

Hi All, this is the first time I have looked or registered on an MX5 forum. I’m on my 4th MX5 and have 2ltr hard top/roadster. Sadly it now has some wear and tear and even some rust, so I’m thinking about giving it a treat and having it properly restored. Can anyone help point me in the direction of someone who can give it the necessary tlc in terms of fixing rust, removing the dings in the door and wheel arch and respray it? The alloys have already been refurb’d once but could probably do with it again. Any ideas what king of price and timescales I’ll be looking at? Grateful for your help fellow owners, thanks.

Hi Eddie, thanks for getting back to me. I'm based in Carluke so hopefully there is someone reliable in the central belt.
Cheers

Ana,
I can recommend Foz Sports in Alloa. Not exactly on your doorstep, and they are never going to be cheap.
They are a pukka coachworks, not just your run of the mill bodge-up spray booth. They may provide a runaround while the work is being done.

They did our Mk2.5.
Don't worry...I doubt you will need such surgery.

Thanks for the details, your car looks lovely. I'll look more into Foz Sports, they look just the type of company I'm looking for.
Cheers
