Another new MK2 owner in Glasgow

Postby kaboodle » Wed Sep 02, 2015 6:34 pm

Time to say hello.

After some deliberation I just bought an early silver MK2. It was just sitting on Ebay, stubbornly refusing to go up in price and sometimes you have to take those chances.
I think it's lived mainly in Windsor; I drove it up from Watford and it sailed through an MOT - although I have had to replace the clutch slave.

The MX5 seems to be a truly cross-generational classic. I bumped into a middle-aged gentleman in the car park at B&Q the other day who had a MK2 who said "I bought it four years ago and I haven't stopped grinning; it's the best car I've ever had". I've hardly stopped smiling since jumping in behind the wheel of mine either.

Hopefully I'll catch up with some of you on a run soon. And I'm sure I'll be looking for a few bits and pieces/hints and tips etc.

Happy motoring!

Gavin, welcome to the forum and MX-5 ownership.
I am sure you will have many chances to keep grinning.
Try us out on a run to meet like minded grinners.
