Hello people

new user here from south ayrshire. just bought my first mx5 for summer.

looking forward to april till shes on the road in the sun? hopefully its a good car. its never been used in the rain for last 10 years and is in fantastic condition.

just waiting on qoutes for classic insurace

i hav not seem many up close but this one blew me away when i went to see it. has been well cared for and looks as good in the flesh as it does in the pics. was bery happy.

i go to pick it up next weekend if its dry

There is just a couple of small bits of rust at the door jams next to the mx5 chrome plate on the jam. I will take some picks and post in the correct area once I have picked it up for some advice. Thought it may have been where the door rubber had rubbed the door jam. Seems to be surface rust. That was only notable problem I saw.

It is lovely to see nice shiny red paint - I don't think mine has been shiny since I bought it.

For classic insurance, give REIS a try, I have a policy with them that covers me for 3000 miles a year, modifications declared, commuting use and 4 trackdays for £260 which seems to be pretty competitive.
