New User take 2 - 2007 Zsport

Postby Macscorcher » Sat Mar 09, 2013 8:22 pm

Hello all ! Finally after a LOT of searching I've found the replacement for my much loved but short lived Mk2.

Picked this up last night getting used to it & will get some pics up soon as I get out & about more in her.

Be interested to know how many other ZSports there are on here ? Did a quick search of the forum & found a few posts but nothing very recent.

Yes and the price of a replacement wheel is a touch high.

Do not hit a pothole. It put me off buying one. One of the Grampian members has one.

Yeah, I was the guy who turned up in the white Mazda 3, 10 minutes too late

Still at least it went to a good home. It looked better in the metal from what I saw, looked like new rear discs too.

Hope you enjoy driving it. take care.

I had a lovely Z Sport until 4 years ago it was killed in a head on with a Civic Type S. The wheels will set you back best part of £1k each and that includes the centre cap.

How are you finding the transition from the Mk2 ? Was thinking about moving from my Mk2.5 to a Mk3 a wee while ago and went on a test run, however couldn't fall for the new one. Is it worth the move up ?

Lol Craig wondered if you were on any of the forums as thought it being a rare special edition someone who knew what it was would snap it up.

Yeah new discs on back, still a couple of small things I want to get sorted out by good 'ol Arnold but got the impression they had no idea what they were selling so worth snapping up I'd say ! & tbh soon as I saw it in the metal that night I was wanting to buy it !

Took her out for a proper drive today up & over the Campsies & then to Loch Lomond. Loved it & even got a quick shot with the roof down & heaters on ! :o)

Struggling to upload pics through tapatalk at mo for some reason !!!

Gavin - think I found the thread on here about your Zsport when I searched. Sounded a nasty accident to say the least! I am a bit nervous about the wheels having seen them advertised on Mx5parts think I'll be investing in some winter wheels & tyres if I can find a set ! Maybe some 16s if anyone is upgrading. But love the look of the BBS's !

StereoMC - didn't get long with my mk2 but the mk3 does feel like an all round bigger car, not as raw which in some ways is a good thing (planning a roadtrip to Spa later in the year) but also do miss the mk2 for being a bit smaller. Also found it more spacious inside & easier to see out of but must say these are minor differences & still think the mk3 is a cracking drive all round. Think maybe if u got the chance to try another 1 it'd be worth it ?
