Hi from Fife

Rude not to say hello

Just bought an MX5 to turn into the new MEV car the Aston Martin DBR1 replica

I can start a build log on here if you want.

Will still need to learn about the underpinnings of the mx5 subframes and engine (until that gets swapped for a Jag 4.2)

Seems quite friendly here, suppose cause its in Scotland

Cheers Steve

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum, like your thought, "out of the box" some would say but, hey , who wants to be the same as everyone else.
We have a few Fifer's who run with Tayside but you as a member can do what ever you fancy re runs.
Photo's of your build would be a good thing for us plebs out there, one our members, Kenny runs his own engineering shop if you require that kind of things done, cheaper if you do it yourself though.
hope to see you and your Aston Mx5 on the road soon.
cheers

Will have to catch up with Kenny then, don't have access to a lathe etc, and need a few spacers and bits making up, for my V6 MR2 as well

Cheers, hope to see some people around this year

Never knew there was such a thing as a MX5 based DBR-1 replica - this will be amazing!
Looking forward to following your progress.
