Newbie from Inchture, Perth

Postby Hally » Sun Sep 02, 2012 9:49 pm

Greetings everybody,

Just become the owner of a 1999 1.8 SE in British Racing Green this week. Got the overnight sleeper to London, train to Essex and had the drive of my life on the way back.

64,000 miles, 1 owner from new, with FSH and in really good condition apart from a few car park dings. Bought to relieve the tedium of a company car during the week. I had an Accord type R a few years back and missed the fun of taking the long way home on the B roads so here we are!

I've been looking at the forum for a few weeks now whilst I was finding the right car for me. Seems like a very friendly forum and hope to be an active member of both the forum and the Owners club.

Pictures to follow soon,

Cheers :D

Well last week was all about getting the garage the way I wanted. I painted the brieze blocks in white (Soooo much paint!) then painted the floor using an epoxy floor coating in grey which came up really well. Finished it off with some old Jim clark prints for the wall.

Been working on the car most nights this week after work. Washed, waxed, clay bar, washed and waxed again. Engine bay detailed and tried to clean the tan vinyl hood but not been easy to get really clean

Went for a wee run across the back of Abernyte.

Massively impressed with the car. Why didn't I get one sooner?
