"Fit Like" from Aberdeen

Postby Dek » Sun Jul 01, 2012 9:29 pm

Hi Folks - NOT a proud owner yet of an MX5. I have been looking for ages & ages( thats what it seems like) to buy my MX5. Looking for a mark 1 if possible, but would look at a mark 2.

So if you know of one for sale around 1500 -1750 drop me a text 07919216704

cheers

Welcome Dek. Have you checked ebay? This one might be worth a trip, sounds like he's struggling to sell, probably due to the awful weather.

WOW - I bought a eunos spec with not many more miles on it for almost half that price. Lots of optimistic summer prices at the moment IMO

There was someone on the OC forum at the weekend trying to sell a 2006 MK3 for £1,000 over what the sticker price is in a number of dealers.

Great if they can get it!

If that MK1 is as good as the guy says, comes with a years MOT and it is trouble free for say three years then it could be a great buy.

But just like garden centres at the moment, they have lots of plants not selling because of the weather and even halfing the price of their plants is not getting people to come out in the rain to buy their stock.

Lack of LSD would put me off but then I am thinking of it being track focused. Even if I just wanted a fun good condition MX5 I think £1600-1700 max but that is just my personal view and people may pay more...

That looks like a very tasty car from the description, in real life it would have to be very good to justify the price.

bought a local one on Tuesday a slight bit more for what i wanted to pay...but for what i have seen i think it was worth it. All the bad stuff done :D I spoke to the guy selling the gleneagles one and was about to set off to view it when i got the call for the one in aberdeen. It came with a matching hard top, so if i sold the top i would be in under budget.

drove it tonight for an hour while the sun was out and loved it.

Thanks for keeping a look out for me

My Pics to follow........I was thinking in selling the hard top as I cant see me getting the benefit of it as i only use the car on days when the roof is down. Just wondering if there is a demand for them..

There's normally a high demand at the start of winter but with this summer who knows.
