Another Black-Isler!

Postby Ant5 » Sun May 06, 2012 1:03 pm

Hi all,

Another potential MX5-owner here from the Black Isle! Going to be commuting to and from Inverness once I get my hands on the MX5 I've got lined up. Mk3, Galaxy Grey - still just waiting delivery.

My brother also got one a few days ago so at least I've had a go in his to keep my adrenaline levels up! Lots of MX5's on the roads these days - and quite right too!

Will there be any 5's on show in Inverness next Saturday at the city centre classic car thingy?

Ant ;)

Hi Ant

Frankie here, one of the Area Co-ordinators for the Moray and Highland Area of the MX5 Owners Club (locally known as the Hi-5s), Brian Robertson is the other.

Welcome to the world of MX5s, a friendly bunch of folks driving great cars!

If you check out our events section you'll see we have a meeting tomorrow night in the Craigmonie Hotel in Inverness, please come along if you can manage it. The meeting itself starts at 8pm but any who can manage it are welcome along at 7pm to have a bite to eat first.

We have 6 places booked for the Inverness show next week. So far 4 cars for definite, hopefully the other two slots will get taken up tomorrow night at the meeting.

We look forward to meeting you soon

Thanks for the welcomes! :)

I don't think I'll be able to make tomorrow night, Frankie, but I'll make sure to keep the first Mon of June free.
I've just learned that the day my car will be available for delivery/pick-up is ... ta-da! ... Sat 12th, so I'll miss out on the classics day too. D'oh!

Still, plenty to look forward too. Cheers!

Excellent, another great reason to look forward to the weekend!

Indeed there are plenty more events coming up for you to join in with, all are listed in the events section. There is also no reason not to join in another areas events, just post a comment in the ones you are interested in.

Perhaps you could send me an email so we can keep you posted on anything new in the area.

Hi all,

Shame I missed the classics on display in Inverness. While I was heading south on the A9 to pick up "Matilda" I saw several extremly well cared for exotic cars heading north, including several Porsches, a Fiat Coupe and one MX5. My own little classic was collected early afternoon and has now completed her journey north - sitting outside on my drive! (not where this pic was taken - Ballanluig!)

Naturally I've joined the OC now!
