Hullo from Hamilton

Postby OlberJ » Tue Apr 17, 2012 10:46 pm

Howdy folks, discovered your little corner of the web and thought i'd say hello.

Just purchased my 1st Mx5 after years of Mr2 ownership (still have one at the moment).

Really enjoying the back to basics, low grip, high fun chuckability of this thing. I'm hooked :D

Here's some pics :

Gave it a clean up and a wee polish, drilled the airbox and fitted a stereo.

Not a fan of the Mk2 wheels on the Mk1 so i had a pair of Mr2Roadster wheels i thought i'd try on for size. Defo prefer the look so trying to find a set for the rear.

And here's where we're up to so far.

It seems to be a mish mash of parts so far but i'm going to tidy it up, get it handling spot on and drive it for the summer. We do Hoons at least once a month up here. Got a big trip planned for May.

Planning some more cylinders over the winter when i've finished the V8 Mr2 project.

Hoping to get to know some more of you and see you on some runs.

Hello and welcome. I look the look of the MK3 Mr2 wheels, they suit it well. Not sure why someone has removed the eunos badges and put a mx5 one on the back end, the eunos ones look so much better!

She looks a bit lower than standard, what suspension is she on?

Thanks folks. Aye there's a few different bits and bobs on it.

It's meant to be a uk car but comes up as a Gleneagles on the DVLA website :? .

It's got Koni suspension on, not sure how low but it's non adjustable. Has an LSD fitted to replace the clunking standard one. Just mot'd and taxed for 6 months.

Got it for a song to give my mate room on his driveway for a sensible family car.

Would quite like a spoiler-less bootlid swap for this one so i can put on a ducktail and just tidy the car up all round.

What polybush sets are recommended?

She does look like she has a rear finish panel from a eunos with UK badges and what looks like UK number plate lighting. The Rear bumper looks like it is from a Eunos as well given how the fog light is mounted.
