Any recent good / bad experiences with Aberdeen garages?

Postby Nickthebass » Sun Apr 18, 2010 6:50 pm

I've had a look at the threads here, but none seem massively recent.

Any thoughts on the current garages in Aberdeen? Also I've been toying with the idea of getting a blower put on...anyone up here particularly good / bad at it?

Ta,

If you find a place in Aberdeen to fit a blower please let me know, I might have a go at fitting one mysef over the winter, bbut on the other hand it would be much quicker getting someone else to do it.

I am also needing someone to fit new suspension bushes and coilovers.

Not sure about the FI work, but for general work I (and others on this forum) have had continued good results from George at On the Road Again in Peterculter. Just got my Mk1 back from George last week to sort a sticking rear brake caliper - did a great job and cleaned up the original caliper at a very reasonable cost and it's working like a charm (just in time for a sunny weekend of roof-down driving).

Have had the car serviced at AW Autotech in Aberdeen the past couple of years with OK results, but would recommend George over those guys for care and attention.

Worth a shot - I've not come across anything that's he hasn't been able to sort, although to be fair I've never had any issue that involved electrics...

I had my head gasket skimmed, refitted, all new belts and fluids, new rear calipers done by Paul Mackie at Firstdrive in Stonehaven.
