A great garage near Glasgow

Postby Ronnie » Fri May 26, 2006 7:03 pm

Today I put the green demon into a garage near where I used to live to have them fit a new catalyst heat shield to the floorpan. (Anybody who follows this will know I ripped it off on my way to the Ayrshire run in a puddle). To my absolute amazement even though they did the job while I waited and fitted me in AND it took their mechanic 35 minutes on ramps to do it they did not take any money for doing the job saying that they would get it when I get the car serviced later on. Now this is mighty unusual these days especially as my car isn't due a service until mid September AND I have only used them once

I feel that such service and customer care should be pointed out and commended.

The garage is called

N&S Motors
Boghead Rd
Lenzie

tel 01417764319

The guys are good and don't rip you off. They also know MX5's quite well too.

I think we should have a topic dedicated to listing trusted garages and such like around the country.

Would save people asking the question everytime work needs done :)

Yep I think that could be arranged...'Trusted & Recommended Garages' with a separate title for each Area, ie West, East, Central, North, North East & North West. Would save a lot of searching and benefit the people that can't be bothered searching. I'm sure Si can sort this out whenever he gets the chance...Nice one Alex.

Good garages

Postby petrov » Sat May 27, 2006 11:57 am

Thanks for the tip-off Ronnie.I have a Mechanic do my MX5 but I'm seriously considering these folk.My MX5 is due a service in July and its approaching timing belt change,so if they know 5's quite well then I'd trust them.

While I'm at it does anyone own a MX5 Anniversary (blue soft top),have any suggestions on the best top cleaner ?
Thanks in advance

I agree,

Used this garage last year for service and T/belt change.

No hassle job well done.

I'll be back again in November
