It was great fun- mainly cos of the extra gg,s going to the crap 205,s i got on the back ,they were like granite.

Evo, s 0-65 ft = 1.78secs
rockdoc,s 5 = 1.9 secs

Evo,s lap time = average 59/60 secs

Rockdocs 5 = 66.66 (best time)

Was never gonna win but was "entertaining"

Two of my mates were there Andy!

One was in an Evo 8, White with big 18" Black alloys

and the other was in an Evo 4, Black with Bronze alloys!

They said it was a really good day.

Looks great fun. That bit where you miss the corner is priceless!!

Was this run as an official MSA approved sprint? I'm sort of gearing up to do a few sprints next year - just wondering which car club to join (probably East Ayrshire).

Yep , went sailing past the cone - and thought ah! (jumping on my new brakes)
-maybe i should have said " that was the stop/wait/reverse "section!!!!- and see who would have bought it :D
Kev, i,m not sure if it was approved - although judging by the distances some people travelled,- they were pretty serious bout it.

The chap who dynoed my car (evo enthusiast) invited me along

I was wondering who the MX5 belonged to... thought it was familiar. I found out about this event through http://www.scottishcarclub.com . The chappy who organised it is a member here as well as MLR etc... I was signed on but had to cancel as I was going to visit the gf's inlaws in Inverness...

There is talk of more events like this in the future so I hope to go to one (or several) of them.

How many runs did you get over the day?

Andy,
Can you give me a brief spec on your car? Sounds great and looks very grippy. Just out of passing interest

That looks bloody good fun (with lots of run-off too :D ) and not too dis-similar to the sprint style days I've been to at Alford. Good result too - its surprising how not-far-off-the-pace a well driven, light, 2wd car can be compared to the big heavy Evos & Scoobs 8)
Long term MX5-less I miss my 5...
