C'mon folks get that last place filled :D

Would be interesting to compare the differences bettween manual and Auto round the track,

I'm sure you could make good use of the auto box holding it in the lower gears when needed.

go on you know you want to

Supercharged Cars

Postby Bowie » Thu May 25, 2006 11:43 am

Folks, I am thinking about supercharging our Mk2.5 Sport through Performance 5. What are the chances of a few passenger laps in a supercharged car to see what the difference is like? Both Claire and I have raced and rallied in the past so we are not nervous passangers.

Obvously I am more than willing to help out with passanger laps for spectators as well.

Out of interest how many supercharged cars are coming along?

Looking forward to it
Cheers

Hi Euan,
I have 1.6 with JR supercharger fitted, look forward to meeting up.
Don't think I will be able to scare you though, just the standard supercharger with 4:2:1 manifold at the moment.

Mino, I will be in touch

supercharger pullies -Mx5mad do good 62/67mm pulleys.
1.8 injectors. - got myself a set of 1.8(230cc) injectors & dual feed fuel rail from a guy on US ebay-quick delivery
Fire all them in , control it with BIPES or Emanage - and you will scare yerself

Thanks PaulDS and rockdoc

Trust me I am not looking to be scared either  , really looking forward to meeting up with you guys and hearing what is involved in the whole process and running a s/charged 5.

I have about 300laps in at knockhill as I used to do the hot hatch days and also raced (ok a 2CV, but still managed to be Scottish Champion) so if I can help out with any advice on lines etc, give me a shout. I know that instructers are better than me, I guess I would much rather see people happy and feel they have learned more about their car than nervous and missing out on all the fun to be had.

As you can see we are still 3 places short or ?165 shortfall
A few of the guys at the Pub Meet said they wouldn't mind paying the extra (?6.11) to keep it all Mx-5's, to be honest I'd far rather see the places filled than ask folk for more money.

Douglas, sorry I couldn't make it, will definately be there next time. My trip rond Knockhill last weekend was great, even better itr was free LOL

We are having a fight with the insurance company over the flood, the first offer for the building damage was ?1700, we stood our ground and got the builders quote of ?6,300, still got the contents and flooring to sort out.
