Spectators are more than welcome, no admission charge and access to pretty much all areas (no kids in the pit lane though)

Make sure to come and say hello, if you are feeling brave, get yourself signed on as a passenger and jump in for a few laps. If you are tempted to try trackdays, that will be all the encouragement you need.

Unfortunately going to be away that weekend which is annoying as I'm not likely to be able to make any of the others this year as my lovely wife is expecting early June so spending money on a track day might not go down too well!!

That is a shame (missing the trackdays I mean, not the baby obviously - congrats on that good news :) ) you could always book for the knockhills own the week after and forget to tell her ? Console her with the fact that Ross bought a race car and started competing in the mx5 championship when his mrs was expecting ! All about getting it out of the system, I think he said ;)

The day was superb - GM and I had a great laugh and managed about 80 laps between us. Not sure how many we did each (we were both driving his car), but you can see footage of our first two session on youtube (although I'm still uploading my second session) sadly the battery in the gopro died after that so we dont have anything from when we were really getting on it.

Was my first trackday and GM let me do loads of laps in his car. Thanks again matey.

Here are the links to the first session each of us did.

Enjoy
Gareth

Bloody good fun ! The sun was shining all day and although on paper we had one of the slowest cars on the circuit, the wee mx5 was right up the backside of some pretty fancy kit. It just goes to show it's not what you drive but how you drive it. Gareth certainly didn't hang back for his first time out, when I've let other folk drive my car they have generally needed a bit of encouragement to give it the beans, he drove it like he stole it !

I've just booked Monday 31st march, only a 2 hour session but at only £65 a bit of a bargain I reckon.

Something non-5 related:

And something fun:

If anyone's interested, I took all these with a Lumix G2, Olympus 50mm lens and a Kipon tilt adapter.
