Grey 06 reg Mk3 - Westhill to Hazlehead

Postby findlay » Wed Aug 09, 2006 12:44 pm

Passed by me in my Mk1 on the approach to Kingswells. Didn't get a wave :(

Colour really suits the car though 8)

Also saw a Mk3 near Berryden, in black, with steel wheels  ...
Long term MX5-less I miss my 5...

I know colour is all about personal opinion.........but i'm afraid i thought the grey is dire !!!!!

Black is good...but my Mk 2.5 was black and also looked a shambles about 3 seconds after spending 5 hours cleaning it.....so no more black cars for me !!!!!

Silver is always good but my big motor is silver.....and so is everybody else's !!!!!

Always fancied red......but as its not metallic, felt it could suffer like the black in that it would'nt have the best shine !!!!!

Winning blue.....what can i say ?????? Look to the foto on your left !!!!!

Tell you what though. My favourite Mk1's are White. Would have loved a White Mk2. Or even a white Mk3 - like in America

I've always had a soft spot for Grey Metallic...

My fave Mk1s are the baby blue ones, it just suits the shape although I like white (and red obviously  ) too

If buffed properly, black gives the most impressive shine in my opinion. Once sealed and waxed, it's much easier to keep the finish with regular, careful washing.

I hated my black car until I discovered the secrets of auto-detailing. I could never get a swirl/smear free finish. Now I've cracked the mirror-gloss finish, I just need a car that doesn't have holes in the sills

Yes thats right. Velocity Red on the launch model was metallic.
I could'nt get mine until March, so all LE's were long gone
- which only left the standard red (which is nice by the way, i had just decided i wanted metallic this time)

It only missed a generation with the Mk2.

Roll on the white Mk3......will i put our names down for the first 2, sg ?

In fact...shall we consider this to be the start of the campaign to have white reinstated to where it belongs ?????
