spotted - mark3 in Aberdeen

Postby The Pram » Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:48 pm

saw a lovely red mark 3 in Aberdeen up by the fire station in North Anderson Drive. First time I have seen one on the street.

Has someone in the club got this one :?: :?:

Its us...its our LE!

Picked it up a week past Saturday from Arnold Clark. They still say its the only one in Aberdeen.

Had to join the club to order one :( but now enjoying the forum

Done 230 miles so far. Had a 2.5 Phoenix in black before, and a BRG Mk 1 Monza before that. This one takes the proverbial biscuit though.

Hope so!!

3 generations of "5's" all on a wee run - magic (well four is you count the 2.5 model   ).

Although the mark 3 is no use for me- cant see over the bonnet  and I am totally in love with my Arctic, it did look rather good in the car park.

Good to know there is a club member with a Mk3 here in the NORTH :P
Looking forward to seeing the fledgling out on the road with older siblings and see how it compares.

Saw a silver MK3 yesterday morning about 8:30 at the bottom of south college st, waved back too (might have been one of the Arnold Clark boys though). :D

Also was that your Artic in the Bon Accord centre carpark on Monday morning Lorraine?

Stevie, wrong spy  .

Car has not been out for about 2 weeks almost  . Was so ashamed of the dirt on it that I couldnt go out till today after a good wash and polish.

Was out at Balmedie this afternoon. After getting my mirror dinged in Sainsbury's carpark I try not to go into them now if I can help it.

Got the hard top on this week so the car looks quite different and most folk think it actually looks better. :D

Silly question - my soft top rear window was always steamed up on the inside and so is the window on the hardtop. Is this common or not? I am worried that when it gets really cold that it will ice up on the indise then drip when it thaws out.

That's interesting! One of the girls at work has just ordered a brand new LE and is not a member of the club ...... the dealer didn't even mention it to her!!

Simon,

Can you tell me which dealer failed to tell your work colleague about the club, I did hear that the leftover LE's were being offered to non club members. More concerned that club details were not given out.

I take it your heated rear screen is plugged in, you'll always get condensation if the car is outside at night, the heated rear screen and a heater blast should keep it all ok.

In Aberdeen today and followed a dark grey Mk3 with top down near railway station 3.30pm. Must admit it had a presence on the road, initially thought it was a Z4.
