Knockhill Track School Tuition

Postby DouglasH » Mon Jan 10, 2005 11:35 pm

For track newbies like me and anyone else wishing to refresh their track etiquette and skills, why not come and join us at Knockhill on Saturday 12th March 9.00am-12.30. Cost is ?55.00 total, there will be 3 instructors who will split us into 3 groups and after the classroom work we get to follow them round the track in our own cars gradually increasing the pace, then to finish the morning off we get a 30 min track session to practise with the new found knowledge.

If you have not already given me your name for this event could you please pm or mail me.

Any update on this Douglas?

If is definitely going ahead, I need to think about getting my '5 out of the garage at the beginning of March and giving it a good service.

Will have to confirm this with Knockhill, I thought it was just an error on my hand written note, original booking was for 9.00-12.30.

Track school start time changed to 1.00pm.

Thanks Boydie for bringing this to our attention, Knockhill sends its apologies but had to change the tuition class to the afternoon due to a pre booked track event in the morning. I trust this meets with everyones plans, it certainly suits me better being the afternoon, gives more time to get there.

Here is the format for the Novice Track School

13.00 Arrival and registration
13.30 Safety briefing and all the ins and outs of track day etiquette
14.00 Tour of Knockhill in MG ZS's with ARDS Instructors showing you all the lines and giving you all the tips you need to know

14.30 Take your car on track and follow your instructor as the pace slowly builds
15.15 30min open track session
15.45 Cars out of pit lane and all drivers back to briefing room for final de-brief and any questions.
16.00 finish
